Sonja is passionate about helping students develop their foundational literacy and numeracy skills as they work towards acquiring educational independence. Sonja believes in developing a positive and encouraging learning environment where students engage in collaborative discussions and feels that all students can reach their potential.

VIC University Student (Bachelor of Education)

Dominic completed a Bachelor of Science and is now studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at Deakin University. Dominic has experience teaching primary students through his university placements, teaching chess to primary students since 2014, and teaching coding at Code Camp. Dominic enjoys fostering a positive relationship with his students so they become more engaged with their learning materials.

Chelsea

QLD University Student (Bachelor of Dental Health Science / Masters of Dentistry)

Chelsea is currently studying a Bachelor of Dental Health Science/ Masters of Dentistry at Griffith University. She is eager about helping students develop their key numeracy skills and oral and written communication for life-long use. Chelsea is passionate about making a positive impact in her students' lives and sharing her enthusiasm. She tries to develop classes that engage and challenge her students and hopes to inspire her students to become life-long learners.

Thisal

NSW University Student (Bachelor of Engineering (Civil))

Thisal completed his Higher School Certificate in 2016, achieving an ATAR of 97.4, followed by completing his Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2019 at the University of Newcastle, then in 2020 he commenced his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Monash University. He has been a formal Tutor since 2020 for Primary school and early Secondary students in English and Mathematics. Thisal is an encouraging and motivating Tutor, and aims to motivate his students into succeeding in their education, instilling the belief that they can overcome hurdles that they may face in their studies. He enjoys building a good rapport with his students to make sure that they understand what they need to do to take the right steps towards success.

Natalie is a qualified, accredited Teacher, having completed her Master in Teaching (Primary) in 2021 and beforehand her Post Graduate Certificate International Schooling, Education & Development in 2012. Her experience includes teaching practicums during her Master of Teaching, time as a Student Learning Support Officer (SLSO) and teaching experience overseas in Preschool and Primary schools. She has experience with special needs students and a wide variety of students from different cultures and backgrounds, giving her a strong student-centred, inclusive approach to her work. Natalie has a passion for supporting students to reach their full potential both academically and socially, and regards herself as highly motivated, positive, patient, and approachable Tutor.

Joanna

VIC Teacher

Joanna completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education, English and French in 1989 and her Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2014. She has 13 years' experience as a High School Teacher in English as an Additional Language, English, Drama and French. Additionally, she over 6 years' experience as a Teacher of Literacy and Numeracy to a SEE (Skills or Education and Employment) Youth Class with ages 15 to 24 whose anxiety prevents them from attending mainstream school, helping them to return to school, start a college course or join the workforce. Joanna is a knowledgeable and supportive Tutor who has worked in both the UK and Australia and has experience with high achievers and those who need extra development.

Thulani

VIC University Student (Medicine)

Thulani graduated High School in 2020, achieving an ATAR of 98.05, going on to commence her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at James Cook University. She has experience as a Peer Tutor during her time at High School and university. Thulani is very passionate about helping her students, making sure they have all the support and skills to succeed in their learning. She is confident in tailoring lessons to best suit each individual student and their learning needs. Thulani is an adaptable, patient and understanding Tutor.

Thu is a qualified, accredited Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Secondary Maths) and a Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) with 11 years' experience teaching Secondary and Senior Secondary Mathematics in NSW, specialising in Year 11 and 12 Advanced and Extension 1 & 2. Thu brings to her students dedication and strong communication skills to help explain complex concepts.

He helps them unlock their full potential and succeed on their learning journey so they that are confident in the skills that they have, ready to take on new and exciting concepts.

Arya

QLD University Student (Bachelor of Engineering)

Arya completed high school at the Queensland Academy For Science, Mathematics and Technology (International Baccalaureate) in 2020, with a score of 44/45, equivalent to an ATAR of 99.75 continuing on with studying her Bachelor of Engineering. She has experience as a private Tutor to secondary students in English, Mathematics and Science. Arya believes in building a trusting tutor-student relationship so that the student can be comfortable in being wrong and open about their struggles. She understands that each child has their own learning pace and keeps this in mind when tutoring.

Mehran

Mehran holds a PhD in Chemistry from The University of New South Wales. Mehran is passionate about all areas of Science and Mathematics and enjoys helping his students broaden their knowledge by breaking topics down into easily digestible concepts using analogy, visual imagery and everyday examples.

Daniel commenced his Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences in 2018 at the University of Queensland. He has tutored Biology & Statistics through his university course from 2019. Daniel is aware that there is a wide diversity in students' needs and goals and that he needs to understand his students and their respective goals to enable them to succeed.

Hannah

NSW University Student (Bachelor of Medical Science / Doctor of Medicine)

Hannah completed her Higher School Certificate in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.25, going on to commence her Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at the University of New England. Hannah has taught and guided younger students in both karate and homework during her time at school and received tutoring herself throughout high school for each subject. Hannah can mould her classes to cater to a student's needs and weaknesses. She is approachable and friendly, creating a comfortable work environment for her students.

Emmeline

Emmeline graduated High School with an ATAR equivalent of 98 and went on to complete her Bachelor of Applied Science (Optometry) at the Queensland University of Technology. She currently works as an Optometrist/Vision Therapist, developing and implementing learning plans for her patients. Emmeline loves working with her students helping them build their skills and confidence in learning.

Nishmi

NSW University Student (Commerce and Advanced Science (Honours))

Nishmi completed her HSC in 2018 with an ATAR of 93. She is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Science (Honours) majoring in Financial Economics and Chemistry from the University of New South Wales. She is a member of UNSW Women in Technology, which is one of the largest student societies at UNSW and helps lead the Events Committee. She has experience with being a student mentor in High School, as well as tutoring Secondary level Math and Science. Nishmi is deeply passionate about working with students and providing them with the tools to empower themselves to be successful.

NSW University Student (Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Computer Science)

Sylvia completed her Higher School Certificate in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 98.25. She then went on to commence her Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and Computer Science at the University of New South Wales. She has been a private Tutor since 2019 in Mathematics U3 and U4 and Chemistry, and was a formal Tutor to Primary students in Mathematics in 2018. Sylvia believes that lessons, regardless of the content and material difficulty, can always be made interesting, engaging and fun.
