He is currently studying for a Masters of Information Technology and has a PhD in Molecular Biosciences, a BSc(Hons) First Class, and a BAppScInnov in Bioinformatics. Prior to teaching, Troy worked as a Scientific Researcher in the fields of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.

Tanishk completed his Higher School Certificate in 2018, achieving an ATAR of 97.9, going on to commence a dual Doctor of Medicine/Bachelor of Medical Studies. He has 4 years of tutoring experience, both formal and private in the subjects of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Economics and English for Primary, Secondary and first year university students. Tanishk's teaching style focuses on building structure in how to approach difficult concepts and what is needed to move up in marking brackets. He tries to achieve this by addressing theory, showing samples and then allowing his students to ask away their concerns.

He has over 10 years' experience teaching university-level laboratory classes, where he has taught students from a wide variety of backgrounds.
