In addition to tackling a more challenging array of questions, Year 6 students recognise that numbers can be positive or negative, apply the rules for the order of operations, add and subtract decimals in real-life contexts and learn to use a Cartesian plane. Greater ability to think about the practical application of mathematical rules enables students to understand and represent data in more sophisticated ways.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
Cluey's Primary Mathematics learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core numeracy skills, including times tables in the early years, and fractions, decimals, percentages, angles and simple algebra in the senior years. Our personalised approach gives your child the opportunity to slow down in the areas they find challenging to ensure they ‘get it’.

Shahidah commenced her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts with majors in Biochemistry and Sociology and minors in Anatomy and Physiology and Human Rights in 2017 at Monash University. Since 2019 she has been a peer mentor to current Victorian Certificate of Education students. She also has 4 years of private tutoring experience, both online and face to face with students in Primary Mathematics, Science and English and Secondary Biology, Chemistry and Health and Human Development. Shahidah coaches her students through challenging materials with positive reinforcement and encouragement. She is highly passionate in working with children and inspiring them to their full potential.

Tracey is passionate about embracing an equitable learning environment for all young children; academically, emotionally and socially. She believes that her dedication to the success of all students is evidenced by being competent in applying her prior and current professional skill set together with tertiary qualifications to achieve success while diligently catering to the individual needs of all students.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
