Year 2 English
In Year 2, students are developing their reading skills and using a range of strategies to recognise and decode words. They are learning to understand the range of purposes and audiences for spoken and written language and also learning to create their own texts for specific purposes and audiences. They are also learning to reflect on and assess their own writing and that of others.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.

Cluey's Primary English learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Dhruvi completed her Higher School Certificate in 2017, achieving an ATAR of 96. She went on to commence her Bachelor of Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Sydney in 2018. Dhruvi has formal tutoring experience, both online and face-to-face, with students in years 1-12. She also has experience in NAPLAN coaching, opportunity class test coaching and selective schools test coaching. Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
