Meet Dr Selina Samuels

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.

Maths Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Mathematics: Secondary

Clare graduated High School in 2020, achieving an ATAR of 92.05. She is now studying her Bachelor of Medical Science at the Australian National University. During her senior years in High School she tutored younger students in English, Geography, Science and Mathematics. Clare likes to maintain a warm and supportive rapport with her students, encouraging them through their struggles. She strives to explain difficult concepts both efficiently and adapt to the needs of each individual student.

Viraj

NSW University Student (Advanced Physics and Mechanical Engineering)

Mathematics: Secondary

Viraj is currently studying his Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Advanced Science in Physics at The University of New South Wales. Between 2017 and 2019 he did private tutoring with students in years 9-12, mainly in the subject of Mathematics. Viraj believes this experience has helped him to gain responsibility and leadership, guiding students through school work in order for them to achieve excellent results.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.

Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.

After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
