Develop knowledge and skills in preparation for Year 9 NAPLAN Numeracy
The Year 9 NAPLAN Full Program contains preparation material and practice questions to support students' exam readiness. The Education Team at Cluey has analysed questions from previous papers and created content that addresses the learning areas and concepts that are assessed in the NAPLAN Maths paper. Sessions in this program target NAPLAN concepts in Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability.
This 14 session learning program is made up of the following topics, practice tests and feedback sessions
Evaluates the sum of numbers expressed as powers of positive integers
Expresses a 5-digit number in scientific notation
Solves a division word problem that involves interpreting the remainder
Evaluates an expression using order of operations
Rounds to the nearest hundredth
Calculates fractions of quantities where the result is a whole number
Subtracts decimals using mental and written strategies
Subtracts fractions with related denominators in context
Represents the numerical form of a decimal that is given in context
Identifies the correct representation of decimals on a number line
Solves a problem using algebra involving percentage and ratio
Uses a direct proportion relationship and ratio to solve a problem in context
Solves a rate problem in context involving multiplying and dividing decimals by whole numbers
Solves a simple rate problem in context, using technology
Calculates the percentage of one quantity in relation to the whole
Calculates the total profit for different sales
Calculates the percent increase using technology
Solves a multi-step problem expressing one quantity as a percentage of another
Calculates the simple interest earned
Identifies the sketch of a linear graph using the coordinates of two points in context
Chooses equivalent expression to factorise a given algebraic expression

The course includes an online test for students to practise answering NAPLAN-style questions under simulated exam conditions.
The session following the practice test is dedicated to reviewing the student's results. It's an opportunity to discuss areas of strength and weakness in depth and to develop personalised NAPLAN test strategies.
