Achieve your best as you study in detail the texts, concepts and skills that matter most to success in Senior English. You will read and respond to literary and other texts, analyse diverse representations of the world, and strengthen your own skills in the expression of your creative ideas and insights. From working with everyday texts in their many forms to exploring in depth specific works of poetry, drama, fiction, nonfiction, film and new media, you'll grow as a learner with Cluey there to support you.

Shannon is a qualified Teacher with experience in teaching Victorian Certificate of Education English Language, History, Literature, and Humanities. She has achieved her Bachelor of Education Secondary at the University of Queensland and her Master of Education Literacy at the University of Melbourne. Shannon believes in fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment and feels with the right support, students can reach their potential.

Lachlan completed his Year 12 studies in 2017 with an ATAR 92.8 and is currently a student at The University of Melbourne, completing a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Politics and International Studies. He has worked as a tutor for over 2 years and has extensive experience helping students develop knowledge of the curriculum, study skills, textual analysis and essay writing. Lachlan aims to provide his students with the tools and knowledge that allows them to tackle any task with confidence.

Carissa completed a Bachelor of Communication, Journalism in 2019 and is currently studying her Masters in Primary and Secondary Teaching. Owning her own private music teaching business has provided her with extensive experience in teaching and tutoring students of all ages. She has been a private music Teacher with students aged 4-60, a French tutor (following the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology curriculum) for first time university students and has two years' experience tutoring family and friends (aged 7 & 10) in Mathematics and English. Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
