Year 11 EAL
Achieve your best as you study in detail the texts, concepts and skills that matter most to success in Senior English. You will read and respond to literary and other texts, analyse diverse representations of the world, and strengthen your own skills in the expression of your creative ideas and insights. From working with everyday texts in their many forms to exploring in depth specific works of poetry, drama, fiction, nonfiction, film and new media, you'll grow as a learner with Cluey there to support you.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.

Sophia completed her Bachelor of Media (major in Film Studies) in 2019 and has vast experience tutoring English. Sophia is passionate about helping students develop their oral and written communication skills as they work towards achieving their educational goals.
Rohan
English: Secondary & Senior
Rohan completed his Bachelor in Communication (Honours) at the University of Newcastle in 2008. He also completed a Diploma in Screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney in 2009 and a Certificate in Student Mentoring at NSW TAFE. Rohan started tutoring English 5 years ago. His teaching style is to meet the individual needs of each student, acknowledging that students are at different points in their learning and possess different learning needs.

Carissa completed a Bachelor of Communication, Journalism in 2019 and is currently studying her Masters in Primary and Secondary Teaching. She has been a private music Teacher with students aged 4-60, a French tutor (following the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology curriculum) for first time university students and has two years' experience tutoring family and friends (aged 7 & 10) in Mathematics and English. Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
