Year 12 Essential English
Achieve your best as you study in detail the texts, concepts and skills that matter most to success in Senior English. You will read and respond to literary and other texts, analyse diverse representations of the world, and strengthen your own skills in the expression of your creative ideas and insights. Deborah is a qualified Teacher, holding her Graduate Diplomas of Education from Monash University. She has also completed her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Professional Writing and Communication. She has taught English and Media for 20 years and her key experience including 2 years as Head of Pedagogy (Leading Teacher) and Learning and Teaching Co-Ordinator (Leading Teacher). Her experience includes teaching gifted/talented classes and programs, and she has vast experience in being able to extend students, regardless of their starting point. Deborah is a passionate Teacher who loves to teach and connect with her students and enjoys seeing them gain confidence in their abilities to learn and develop skills.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
