Functions and graphs
- Lines and linear relationships
- Quadratic relationships
- Inverseproportion
- Powers and polynomials
- Graphs of relations
- Functions
Our Year 11 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the WA/ACT Syllabus. Students examine the properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, inverse and exponential functions. Trigonometric functions are further developed to include special identities. Students also learn to select appropriate techniques when working with arithmetic and geometric sequences and their application to financial situations. Investigating instantaneous rates of change helps build a student's conceptual understanding of differential calculus. Developing mastery of differentiation techniques will enable students to solve related problems such as describing the motion of a particle. The fundamental theory behind probability is developed to include more complex techniques, including conditional probability and independence.

Based on the state and national curricula for Years 11 and 12, Cluey’s approach to senior Maths focuses on advanced topics, such as calculus and statistical analysis, and is intended to prepare you for Maths at a tertiary level. Our personalised approach focuses on exam prep and gives you the opportunity to develop in areas you find challenging.
Our tutors are all qualified teachers, exceptional ATAR achievers or experts in their respective fields.
