In Year 2, students are developing their reading skills and using a range of strategies to recognise and decode words. Here’s what parents and students around Australia are saying about Cluey Learning:
My child was falling behind in his reading but his Cluey tutor has brought him back up to speed. It's the exact one-on-one he needed to get there. The price might not be accessible for everyone, but it's definitely worth it.
My daughter wanted help with Y6 English writing and I was concerned about finding assistance. My daughter has found the tutor clear with her teaching, and has been happy with his progress, covering topics she wanted the support with. Practise exercises are set after each session. As a parent, I received a feedback sheet after each session which is useful.
My son has had 3 sessions with cluey learning for English. The tutors have been patient, kind and encouraging. It is convenient being able to do it at home. They are always keen to check that he is focusing on what he needs to do. he first time we tried to connect it took a long time and we were not able to get technical support immediately. Luckily it eventually worked. It would be great if you could try your connection prior to the 15 min slot beforehand. We have an old Mac book pro lap top and at first the cluey program would not recognise the camera. Some subsequent times it has done the same thing and takes a while to recognise the camera.
Started my daughter on online English sessions so far so good. I let her interact with the tutor alone, but I'm always in the background listening or helping with the computer. She really enjoys it. I will have to wait for a few more months to really assess her improvement.
I am very happy with my child's current English tutoring via Cluey. The convenience of not having to drive and report thereafter on what was covered in the lesson were very welcome.
Cluey has been great so far (week 4 for us), currently enrolled in alternative math and English lessons once per week. I have been impressed with how easy it was to set up, once your are logged into the hub you can change times, set payments and see everything your child has and will be working on. The curriculum is in line with our school, and very personalised to suit my child's needs. I look forward to seeing progress in both area and plan to continue lessons over the school holidays.
