Mathematics Advanced Year 10

Our Year 10 Mathematics Advanced program provides each student with an opportunity to review and build on mathematical areas of study introduced in our Year 9 Mathematics program. Students extend their algebraic techniques to help solve more complex equations and we introduce them to advanced topics including surds, logarithms, polynomials, circle geometry and functions. Each of these topics will be further developed in the advanced senior mathematics courses.

As part of our program, students develop algebraic and geometric strategies to solve inequalities. Inverse function and parametric form of a function is defined and applied to solve a range of questions.

Our Year 11 Mathematics Extension 1 program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the NSW Syllabus. As part of our program, students develop algebraic and geometric strategies to solve inequalities. Inverse function and parametric form of a function is defined and applied to solve a range of questions. Students also learn algebraic methods to solve equations of polynomials. Inverse trigonometric functions are examined including their properties and graphs which are applied to a variety of abstract and practical situations. Students gain the necessary practice to develop mastery over complex trigonometric identities. In addition, our program introduces the application of calculus to the physical world including exponential growth and decay and related rates of change. A new area of study, Combinatorics is introduced. Students build skills to solve both permutation and combination questions. This is extended into binomial expansion and Pascal's triangle.

Here’s what parents and students around Australia are saying about Cluey Learning:

Richard Lorenzo

Have tried tutoring like North Shore previously. While it worked for two of my kids, one of them benefited from the 1 on 1 service that Cluey offered. Have tried it for about 1.5 months. Very happy and watching the video of the sessions I can tell my child is happy too. Our tutor Debra is great!

Online tutoring

I am very happy and satisfied with the group tutoring. The tutor is very engaging with the students that they participate with the discussion enthusiastically. My son is usually shy but because of the dynamic of the session he doesn't shy away with his thoughts and ideas.

Danielle Suzanne

So far we are enjoying the convenience of at home tutoring. Our tutor from our first session left so hopefully the tutors are consistent and we don't get new ones regularly. Other than that it is been good. I will be sticking with it so that's a good sign :)

Hayley Lambourn

My son looks forward to his weekly tutoring sessions. Tutors very friendly and knowledgeable.

Sarah Campbell

Professional, flexible, affordable tutoring Our tutors were friendly and knowledgeable. Cluey were quick to assist us, flexible with session times and helped improve my son's confidence with his ATAR subjects.

Ali Robinson

Cluey is a wonderful tutoring service. My daughter has been getting Maths and English tutoring. Both her tutors are incredibly kind and patient. The online platform makes it easy for us because we don't have to get to a set location after school which makes the afternoons less stressful. It has also been nice for my daughter to be able to ask her questions outside the classroom environment. I highly recommend Cluey.

Alex von Hofmann

Our daughter is in year 5 and needed some help with her mths. I looked around for local tutors and tutoring services that might be able to help, and came across Cluey in the process. I had a good chat with them about our daughters needs and did a couple trial sessions. Our daughter loved the experience and I could see immediate improvement. She has been going to the group classes, which are only ever about 4 or 5 students, for a month now and she actually looks forward to the classes every week. We are seeing improvement in her maths and we are really happy with the service.

Our report card is in and feedback is positive
