Mathematics: Year 7 - Year 11 | NAPLAN Mathematics: Year 7 - Year 11
Tav completed her VCE with an impressive ATAR of 94.00. Tav is currently studying Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts (major in French, Spanish and Latin American studies, Psychology and Mathematics) at Monash University in Melbourne. Tav is fluent in English, French, Hindi and basic Spanish. Tav is an experienced Mathematics tutor for secondary school students. Our Year 12 Further Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students undergo an in-depth study of its two core topics, Data Analysis and Recursion & Financial Modelling. Students build mastery in finding solutions to real-world problems through rigorous practice. The four option topics are available in our program. Matrices is developed to solve for steady state solutions to transition matrices. Networks and Decision Mathematics explores spanning trees, flow problems, finding the shortest path and critical path analysis. Geometry and Measurement is an exploration of measurement and trigonometry. The study of Earth geometry is also examined as part of this option. Graphs and Relations is the study of linear graphs and linear programming. Students develop the mathematical skills to find optimal solutions to linear programming problems.
Our Year 11 General Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students build on their practices of earning and managing money, computation and practical arithmetic. We introduce the fundamental skills of working with matrices, graphs and networks and provide practice to help students build mastery. The study of measurement and similarity are further developed for three-dimensional objects. A major application of linear relations is linear programming. Students will learn techniques and processes to find optimal solutions to linear programming problems. Our program explores the statistical investigation process, applications of trigonometry as well as number patterns and recursion.
Our Year 12 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students examine the properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, inverse, exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions are developed to include special identities. Students also learn to select appropriate techniques when working with arithmetic and geometric sequences and their application to financial situations. Investigating instantaneous rates of change helps build a student's conceptual understanding of differential calculus. Developing mastery of differentiation techniques enables students to solve related problems such as describing motion of a particle. The fundamental theory behind probability is expanded to include more complex techniques including conditional probability, independence and combinations.

The Year 9 program covers Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, Statistics and Probability, and introduces the study of Trigonometry. Students use appropriate strategies to solve problems and link mathematical ideas and the relevant terminology and notations to explain their thinking processes. Our Year 9 program places a great deal of importance on consolidating prior mathematical knowledge and laying the strongest foundations for senior Mathematics at every level.

We have been trying to look for an online tutor for our daughter in high school, she really struggles with maths and doesn't enjoy learning it as she feels super overwhelmed, the tutors at Cluey really helped her ease into the subject and work with her own pace. We have only done 3 lessons and she already feels a bit more comfortable with maths. I love how you can request for a change of tutor if you feel one isn't right for you/your child.
We have been using Cluey for roughly 5 weeks for my son who is in year 11. He is getting support for both maths methods and physics and has said his tutors are super nice, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.
Cluey tutoring have been able to provide Amelia with the ongoing support she needs both in preparing for class and also for tests. She is happy with her tutor and the interaction with him during sessions which has reduced the despair and anxiety we were both feeling about her maths. Granted it seems expensive but overall it is less than 2 cents per minute for an hour session and being that Amelia is working towards the end of achieving her VCE General Maths it is worth the investment in her future. She is applying herself and is grateful for the support which makes it all worthwhile.

My daughter benefited greatly from Cluey's tutoring. Her one on one online tutor was very approachable with any queries she had and was provided with a variety of ways to better understand the Maths issues.
Tutor was happy to work on both planned and unplanned content. Eg. If my daughter had questions about current school maths work load and also catching up on areas she was a little behind with.
