Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?
NAPLAN is different from regular classwork
Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.
Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.
Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Asha completed her Higher School Certificate in 2018, achieving and ATAR of 97.8. She obtained her Diploma of Communications in 2018 and in 2019 she commenced her Bachelor of Arts (majoring in English Literature) at the University of Melbourne. She has been a private English Tutor since 2018, mostly to students in Higher School Certificate English and History to help them improve their essay writing skills. Asha is a diligent and perceptive Tutor with a keen willingness to learn from others. She engages with her students both effectively and empathetically.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Charlotte completed her Year 12 certificate in 2020 and achieved an ATAR of 90. She is now studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing.
