Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Courtney completed her Year 12 certificate with an ATAR of 98.20 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Communication at University of Newcastle. Courtney started tutoring in 2016 and has vast experience with all levels. She is passionate about English and wants to inspire the same passion in all of her students of the subject.

NSW University Student (Bachelor of Education (Secondary))

English: Secondary & Senior

Kent is currently studying his Bachelor of Education (Secondary), majoring in English, at the University of Newcastle. He is experienced in tutoring English to Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary students, both formally and informally. Kent seeks to engage students personally in their studies, tailoring instructions to their goals, interests and learning styles. Ennabel

VIC University Student (Bachelor of Design)

Mathematics: Secondary

Ennabel completed Year 12 in 2019 with an ATAR of 97.35. She is currently studying her Bachelor of Design at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Architecture. Ennabel has experience in tutoring Secondary students in both Mathematics and Science. Ennabel enjoys breaking down concepts to their simplest forms so students can better understand and retain the knowledge.

Alex completed his HSC achieving an impressive ATAR of 98.85. Alex tutoring style focuses on helping students to best understand the subject content through explanation and problem-solving. Justin completed his Higher School Certificate in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 99.25. In 2020 he commenced his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Civil /Bachelor of Commerce/Finance at the University of New South Wales. He has tutored family and peers during High School with their Mathematics homework. Justin is passionate about helping senior students achieve their goals through a friendly and approachable manner.
