Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Rohan completed his Bachelor in Communication (Honours) at the University of Newcastle in 2008. He also completed a Diploma in Screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney in 2009 and a Certificate in Student Mentoring at NSW TAFE. Rohan started tutoring English 5 years ago. His teaching style is to meet the individual needs of each student, acknowledging that students are at different points in their learning and possess different learning needs.

Angel has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Master of Teaching Secondary English/Drama. She has been teaching for 20 years with most of her experience with years 7-10 and some with years 11-12 in English. Angel has a friendly nature, getting along with her students easily and making them feel at ease and comfortable to ask questions.

Ferahi (Ferri) is a registered Teacher, having taught Theatre, Dance, Math and English for the past 6 years. Eve completed Year 12 Certificate with an ATAR of 92.05. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts at Monash University. She has vast experience tutoring Mathematics. Eve enjoys seeing her students gain confidence with their learning and having some fun along the way.

Nathaniel

Nathaniel is currently studying his Bachelor of Science Mathematics, majoring in Applied Statistics and minoring in Economic Studies. He has experience in tutoring Mathematics to years 4 - 12. Nathaniel is an enthusiastic Tutor with the aim of teaching student mathematical concepts until they are 100% confident in their own independent mathematical skills. Adapting to student's behaviour in learning, using different approach of leaning such as visual graphs, educational games, and using different colours in illustrating concept are some of his strengths in teaching.

Hassan graduated High School in 2020, achieving an ATAR of 96.45. During his time in High School he informally tutored Year 8 students which he believes improved both his communication and empathy skills. Hassan's first aim as a Tutor is to help his students achieve academic excellence and to teach them effective tools for future self-study and self-reliance.
