Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?
NAPLAN is different from regular classwork
Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.
Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.
Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Kathryn is a qualified English teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. She believes in fostering an encouraging and stimulating learning environment where students engage in collaborative discussions, and feels with the right support, students can reach their potential.
Grace
English: Secondary
Grace completed her Victorian Certificate of Education in 2019 and will commence studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2021. She has experience tutoring students in years 7 to 12 in English, and 7-8 in Maths. Grace has good teaching strategies for complex concepts and strives to be an active listener and mentor to each student. Grace aims to bring out the best in her students so they will gain the confidence to study and answer questions independently.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Fiona Jing Fang (Fiona) is currently completing her PhD at the University of Rockhampton, having completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in 2012. She is currently working as a Laboratory Demonstrator at the Central Queensland University. Fiona is a passionate Tutor, interested in engaging in the many facets and intricacies of Chemistry and passing the knowledge onto her students.
