Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

She is dept at English subjects and also has some knowledge/ability in areas such as Humanities, Biology, and Theatre studies. NSW University Student (Bachelor of Arts (English Literature and Philosophy) / Bachelor of Arts (School of Liberal Arts, Honours))

Shaani has completed a Bachelor of Arts - double major in English Literature and Philosophy, achieving a final WAM of 84.3. Shaani is completing an honours thesis in Philosophy of Mind and Memory. Shaani has over four years of tutoring experience in various subjects, with an emphasis on Standard, Advanced and Extension English subjects. Shaani fosters a positive and engaging environment for learning, while tailoring her tutoring style to suit and help all students to build on their current skills and be self-reflective in the learning process. Shaani believes in allowing students to be autonomous and creative when it comes to their learning and establishing academic goals.

Michelle

Michelle completed her Higher School Certificate in 2017, achieving an ATAR 95.8 and is now studying her Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Honours). She has experience as a Tutor helping students at the University of Sydney. Michelle is approachable and compassionate in the way she mentors her students which allows for supportive conversations where they can confide in her and seek advice. Michelle has also developed the ability to build relationships with a variety of people, identify their needs and solve these needs with acquired expertise and mentorship.

Meenakshi

Meenakshi completed her South Australian Certificate of Education in 2020, achieving an ATAR of 94.75. She has 2 years of form tutoring experience, working with students aged 4-16 in Mathematics and English. She's also privately tutored primary students for 2 years in Mathematics, English and NAPLAN. Meenakshi aims to deliver engaging and enjoyable lessons to students of all abilities to help them achieve and exceed their academic goals.

Stanley

NSW University Student (Advanced Mathematics (Honours) and Computer Science)

Mathematics: Secondary & Senior

Stanley graduated High School in 2020, achieving an ATAR of 98.90 going on to study his Bachelor of Computer Science and Advanced Mathematics (Honours). Between 2020 and 2021 he worked as a Mathematics Tutor. Stanley enjoys working with a wide array of students with different learning styles and finds great pleasure in being able to explain concepts to students and seeing them understand and explain it back.

Hassan

Mathematics: Secondary & Senior

Hassan graduated High School in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 91.10. He then went on to commence his Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. During High School he volunteered to tutor students in Years 7-12 in Mathematics, English and the Sciences. He also has experience with online tutoring with Victorian Certificate of Education students in Mathematics. Hassan's passion lies in assisting students with, not only learning mathematical concepts, but also realising that they are capable of a lot more than they initially believe. He is a strong believer in everybody having the capacity for greatness. Everyone learns in a unique way and he feels that one of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring is adapting to each student and helping them get the most out of their education.
