Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Joshua completed his Bachelor of Education (Secondary), graduating with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology in 2010, majoring in English and History. He has experience teaching English to years 7-10 in Australia, as well as teaching both Secondary and Primary English and English As a Second Language overseas. He is passionate about helping students develop their oral and written communication skills as they work towards achieving their educational goals.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Wei Lin

Mathematics: Primary & Secondary

Wei Lin (Sally) completed her Victorian Certificate of Education in 2012 achieving an ATAR of 93.5. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and Graduate Diplomas of Chartered Accounting and then study her Master of Tax. Sally likes to build her students confidence in Maths by creating an inclusive and understanding environment.

WA University Student (Bachelor of Science)

Mathematics: Secondary & Senior

Jing graduated High School in 20216 with an ATAR of 97.50, going on to study a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics. She has spent time volunteering as Teachers' Aide in High School for a special needs school and has experience as a Private Tutor for Primary and Secondary Mathematics. Jing enjoys breaking down concepts to their simplest forms so students can better understand and retain the knowledge.

Yash

VIC University Student (Bachelor of Commerce)

Mathematics: Secondary & Senior

Yash completed his Victorian Certificate of Education in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 96.25, going on to commence his Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance at the University of Melbourne. He has tutoring experience with students in Years 9-12 in Mathematics and Accounting. Yash is an encouraging Tutor, who aims to connect with his students which he hopes will make them feel comfortable enough to ask for help.
