Mathematics Year 10

Students build on their algebraic techniques and their application to linear and non-linear graphs. They examine proportion and rates of change and apply then to practical problems. Students build on their understanding and practices of trigonometry, congruence, similarity, surface area and volume within real-world contexts. Statistics is further developed to include analysis of bivariate data.

English Year 10

You may encounter new kinds of texts - hybrids of visual, spoken and written, featuring ethical and global dilemmas, challenging and unpredictable plots. Students will be evaluating, comparing and composing increasingly complex writing and performance. It's a great chance for them to consider their own position in the world as a creator and responder. My Year 10 child was losing confidence with Maths as a result of remote learning and a reluctance to ask the questions he needed to in order to improve his understanding. Finding Cluey via an internet search I went with the trial period and the results have been very pleasing.
