Our Year 12 Chemistry program covers all relevant syllabus outcomes in VCE Chemistry. Key topics covered are: combustion reactions, fuels, heat capacity, redox chemistry and electrochemical cells, nomenclature and reactions of various organic compounds, reaction pathways and synthesis, analytical techniques including infrared, NMR and mass spectroscopy, chromatography, biological molecules and food chemistry. To excel in Year 12, students must exhibit competency in exam technique by providing relevant information and correctly structuring responses and displaying working.
Our Year 12 Further Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students undergo an in-depth study of its two core topics, Data Analysis and Recursion & Financial Modelling. Students build mastery in finding solutions to real-world problems through rigorous practice. The four option topics are available in our program. Matrices is developed to solve for steady state solutions to transition matrices. Networks and Decision Mathematics explores spanning trees, flow problems, finding the shortest path and critical path analysis. Geometry and Measurement is an exploration of measurement and trigonometry. The study of Earth geometry is also examined as part of this option. Graphs and Relations is the study of linear graphs and linear programming. Students develop the mathematical skills to find optimal solutions to linear programming problems.
Our Year 12 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students examine the properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, inverse, exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions are developed to include special identities. Students also learn to select appropriate techniques when working with arithmetic and geometric sequences and their application to financial situations. Investigating instantaneous rates of change helps build a student's conceptual understanding of differential calculus. Developing mastery of differentiation techniques enables students to solve related problems such as describing motion of a particle. The fundamental theory behind probability is expanded to include more complex techniques including conditional probability, independence and combinations.

Here’s what parents and students around Australia are saying about Cluey Learning:
Cluey have been fantastic. After a few changes we found the tutor my year 12 son liked the best. We were able to schedule fortnightly sessions and increase when the need arose. Having Cluey has given my son increased Atar confidence and he has received early offers to Uni as a result.
Due to the Greater Sydney lockdown and my son in year 12, I needed to find a tutor urgently to help with preparing him for HSC. The tutor allocated was ok but my son needed some specific help with parts of the curriculum and particular texts so we needed someone with specific experience and knowledge of the year 12 curriculum and this years novels and poems. Cluey put out the call to their database of tutors with what we were looking for and got a reply from a tutor who not only was familiar with the texts and curriculum, but had written training papers on the text! He was a perfect match as a tutor for my sons needs and my son has gained so much confidence. Cluey could not have been more helpful in finding the right fit and the right knowledge to suit what we were looking for. I only wish we'd done this a long time ago!
I signed up to Cluey as a year 12. I needed more help with mathematics and my tutors were excellent. They understood what I was going through and went through examples and my sacts to help me better understand what I was learning.
My son is very satisfied with the support he is receiving with Year 12 Maths. He finds his tutor very supportive and a pleasure to work with. I have seen my son's confidence increase when it comes to facing formal maths assessments.
