Our Year 11 General Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students build on their practices of earning and managing money, computation and practical arithmetic. We introduce the fundamental skills of working with matrices, graphs and networks and provide practice to help students build mastery. The study of measurement and similarity are further developed for three-dimensional objects. A major application of linear relations is linear programming. Students will learn techniques and processes to find optimal solutions to linear programming problems. Our program explores the statistical investigation process, applications of trigonometry as well as number patterns and recursion.

Mathematical Methods Year 11

Our Year 11 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students examine the properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, inverse, exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions are developed to include special identities.

Our Year 11 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the VIC Syllabus. Students examine the properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, inverse, exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions are developed to include special identities. Students also learn to select appropriate techniques when working with arithmetic and geometric sequences and their application to financial situations. Investigating instantaneous rates of change helps build a student's conceptual understanding of differential calculus. Developing mastery of differentiation techniques enables students to solve related problems such as describing motion of a particle. The fundamental theory behind probability is expanded to include more complex techniques including conditional probability, independence and combinations.

Here’s what parents and students around Australia are saying about Cluey Learning:

We're very impressed

The tutors follow the curriculum which was a must, and the tutor match was great, my son is doing really well, he enjoys the sessions and is improving every week. The weekly reports were an added bonus, we're very grateful to have the help of Cluey, especially given the current lockdowns in Victoria.

Happy Teen

Cluey asked my teenage son what he preferred with a tutor (male/female, younger/experienced), I also was asked what I was looking for as a parent. The tutor has clicked with him beautifully, works with his multiple diagnoses and makes the work enjoyable. My teen son said he can now see the benefit, it's helped him to revisit things he has forgotten and given him confidence.

Ease of communication and problem solved rapidly

We got an English tutor for my yr11 son. This week will be his 7th lesson. Our experience with Cluey was a bit disappointing in one way as the tutor we were allocated didn't turn up on the very first session and we were notified of his absence 15 mins after the lesson was due to start but however we were able to arrange for a make up lesson. However, this happened last week again 2 hrs before the lesson so we arranged another make up lesson again. So, so far my son had 6 lessons with 4 different tutors. I must say that calling Cluey and resolving the situation was very easy and the customer service is outstanding, we are disappointed a little bit by the tutor( hence the 4 star) but I guess it's not the company's fault. My son loves the sessions so far and was really happy with the 4 different tutors and we will definitely continue despite these little hiccups. What is also great is that we have the option to change tutor if this is not really working for us.That is what we are going to do. I also love the fact that we get feedback straight after the lessons and can see what has been done during the sessions.

So organised and helpful!

Cluey has been so good. They're online which makes it easy to tutor whenever and wherever and the organisation of the company has been amazing. The tutors are also amazing, so helpful and informative. Really happy

very helpful but could improve

this service is very helpful but they provided me with a tutor who had not read any of the books I needed help on. in the future, I hope they provide customers with tutors who have studied the texts needed for English. overall I do believe my assigned tutor was extremely helpful and he could still help me with my work, despite never having read any of the texts.

Excellent service

Needing a maths tutor for my 8 year old. Excellent tutors. Brittany is fantastic. Cluey has been very flexible with our timetable and always gets back to me straight away.

Very impressed!

As a teacher, I was reluctant to get a tutor for my son, hoping that I could teach him myself, however the tutors that have been assigned to work with him have been amazing! So friendly and engaging. My son is happy and motivated to learn more. I especially like the report that is sent to me after each session outlining what was taught and future goals. I wish I had enrolled him sooner.

Our report card is in and feedback is positive
