Year 11 Chemistry
Our Year 11 Chemistry program addresses all relevant syllabus outcomes in the SACE syllabus. Students learn about atomic structure and the periodic table, chemical bonding, properties of materials, moles technique, intermolecular forces, gases, hydrocarbons and polymers, concentration and solubility, acids and bases, reactions of acids, the pH scale, redox reactions, the activity series, galvanic cells and batteries. A solid understanding of these core concepts is an essential foundation for students to excel in Year 12.

Hannah completed her Higher School Certificate in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.25, going on to commence her Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at the University of New England. Hannah has taught and guided younger students in both karate and homework during her time at school and received tutoring herself throughout high school for each subject. Hannah can mould her classes to cater to a student's needs and weaknesses. She is approachable and friendly, creating a comfortable work environment for her students.

Joshua has been working as a private Mathematics Tutor since 2008, with students in Prep to Year 10. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology) and Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (Medicinal Chemistry) with First Class Honours. Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
