Linear equations and their graphs
- Linear equations
- Straight-line graphs and their applications
- Simultaneous linear equations and their applications
- Piece-wise linear graphs and step graphs
Our Year 11 General Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the TAS Syllabus. Students build on their understanding of financial mathematics. We introduce the fundamental skills of working with matrices and provide practice to help students build mastery. The study of measurement and similarity are further developed for three-dimensional objects. Our program explores the statistical investigation process, applications of trigonometry as well as linear equations and their graphs.
Year 11 General Mathematics gives students the chance to build on all three strands of the Year 7 – 10 curriculum: numbers and algebra, measurement and geometry, statistics and probability.
