Students learn operations with numbers that include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They develop greater multiplication skills by learning times tables. They work with measurements of length and area, volume and capacity, mass and time, identify 2D and 3D space and angles and start graphing statistics in simple graphs. Students are starting to learn the appropriate mathematical terminology to explain their problem-solving strategies.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
Cluey's Primary Mathematics learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core numeracy skills, including times tables in the early years, and fractions, decimals, percentages, angles and simple algebra in the senior years. Our personalised approach gives your child the opportunity to slow down in the areas they find challenging to ensure they ‘get it’.

Louise is a qualified Teacher, holding her Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood). She also holds a Certificate IV in Education Assistant (Special Needs) and Certificate III in Education Assistant. She has a background of Education Support, specialising in special and additional needs including intellectual disabilities and sensory processing difficulties. She also have experience teaching all Primary years and currently works as an Education Support Teacher. Louise is confident with developing lesson plans and experiences to suit various learning styles to provide appropriate learning experiences for all of her students.

Hayat is currently studying her Master of Teaching, Primary and Secondary. She also holds her Master of TESOL: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics. Hayat has over 12 years of teaching experience, as a Community Teacher, working with students ages 6 to 13 years, as a Private Tutor in Mathematics and English and most recently as a Teaching Assistance, teaching small groups of students in Science, Mathematics and English. Hayat is passionate about working with young learners and helping students to excel academically.

Sherryn is a university student currently studying a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland. She has previous tutoring experience, working with pre-school, primary and high school students. Sherryn is very patient, friendly and fluent in both English and Mandarin. She currently tutors Maths and Chemistry.

Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
