Year 7 English
In Year 7, students might be engaging with novels and newspapers, poems and plays, digital media and dreamtime stories. It’s important to the Cluey Education Team that every learner feels confident in their understanding and ready to tackle any assignment. We have an ever-expanding bank of resources as well as units ready to support creative and persuasive writing – plus grammar and spelling to give that final polish.

Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Isabella completed her Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts - Humanities (Secondary) in 2016 at the Australian Catholic University as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Religious Education in 2019. She has 4 years' experience as an English classroom Teacher and Religious Education Teacher with stages 4-6. She also has experience with years 7-12 in English. Isabella is an enthusiastic Tutor who is committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)

During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
