QLD Teacher
English: Primary
Sonia is a qualified Teacher, holding her Diploma of Education. She also holds a Diploma of Education LOTE (Languages Other Than English) and has over 20 years of teaching experience in English and Japanese. Sonia offers her students of diverse nationalities, age groups and learning styles a wealth of knowledge regarding writing, reading, grammar, vocabulary development, speaking and listening. In addition, she has worked in a range of educational settings with individuals, small groups and large classes both online and in person. Sonia is committed to the wellbeing and empowerment of her students and strongly believes that academic success is intrinsically connected to the Teacher's own passion for learning and investment in providing an engaging, nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.

Emma is currently studying her Bachelor of Primary Education with Swinburne University. She has been working as a Learning Support Officer in a Year 5/6 classroom for the last year. Emma has experience with students with diverse learning needs and supported children through remote learning in 2021. Through her experience, Emma has gained insight into how children learn, the importance of forming positive relationships with students, and the Australian Curriculum.

Ziming is a qualified, registered Teacher having completed her Bachelor of Education, achieving a Distinction average. She has extensive experience teaching online and is currently working as a Casual Relief Teacher. Ziming aims to create a safe and effective learning environment for children, where their individuality is carefully considered and respected, in order to nurture them to their full potential. She is eager to assist her students to accept themselves for who they are and embrace the differences of others. Nishmi
NSW University Student (Commerce and Advanced Science (Honours))

Nishmi completed her HSC in 2018 with an ATAR of 93. She is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Science (Honours) majoring in Financial Economics and Chemistry from the University of New South Wales. Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
- Work through any challenges
- Students are encouraged to explain their thinking to clarify their comprehension
