This program builds on prior knowledge of area of plane shapes from Year 9 and aligns with the Australian curriculum. Students enhance their skills in selecting and using formulae of varied shapes and solids, including pyramids, cones and spheres and perform calculations to find the area, surface area and volume. In addition, they gain greater competency in understanding the limitations of measurement and confidently work with different units of measurement.
