Probability and Statistics in Year 9 is an important part of the Statistics and Probability curriculum. In this learning program, students explore set notation, theoretical probability and experimental probability. They are also taught how to represent data gathered in Venn diagrams, tree diagrams, and two way tables. Other concepts that are covered include constructing and interpreting stem and leaf plots, frequency distribution tables and histograms, and calculating and comparing five number summaries for box and whisker plots.
