Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, NAPLAN is primarily used as a benchmarking tool, taking a snapshot of how school children across the country are tracking in terms of the literacy and numeracy skills that we believe are essential for their progress. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Lissa holds a Bachelor of Educational Studies and has worked in both Montessori and Mainstream Education settings in Australia for 7 years. She has also worked as an Online English Teacher and Tutor for 12 months. Lissa considers herself to be a flexible, positive and enthusiastic Tutor. She likes to use Neuro-Linguistic Programming to help each student achieve academic success through boosting self-confidence, self-esteem and talking to the sub-conscious mind to remove any blocks that may be preventing a student from achieving at the level that they are truly capable of.

Emilia is currently studying her Diploma of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. In 2017 she completed her Bachelor of Inclusive Education & Disability Studies. Emilia has 7 years of tutoring experience, in years Kindergarten through to year 6. She also has experience as a private Tutor for students preparing for their first year of school and teaching Portuguese language. Gabriela's teaching strategies apply the principles of Visible Learning to ensure pupil motivation, behaviour, and learning engagement to build a foundation of knowledge, critical thinking skills and attitudes for life-long learners.
