Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, NAPLAN is primarily used as a benchmarking tool, taking a snapshot of how school children across the country are tracking in terms of the literacy and numeracy skills that we believe are essential for their progress. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Lissa holds a Bachelor of Educational Studies and has worked in both Montessori and Mainstream Education settings in Australia for 7 years. She has also worked as an Online English Teacher and Tutor for 12 months. Lissa considers herself to be a flexible, positive and enthusiastic Tutor. She likes to use Neuro-Linguistic Programming to help each student achieve academic success through boosting self-confidence, self-esteem and talking to the sub-conscious mind to remove any blocks that may be preventing a student from achieving at the level that they are truly capable of.

Christopher is currently studying a Bachelor of Education specialising in Mathematics and English to Primary and Junior Secondary students. Christopher is an extremely patient individual who has experience working with students at various academic levels. He is passionate about facilitating a positive and collaborative environment for his students to feel comfortable and make the most out of their sessions. He also believes in tailoring lessons to suit the needs of his students as he understands that everyone learns differently.

Stephen

Stephen is a qualified, accredited Teacher, completing his Diploma in Teaching in 1978. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a Diploma of TESOL. He has experience as a Casual Relief Teacher and as a Classroom Teacher with Primary School students. Between 1999 to 2007 he worked as a Tutor, encouraging the development of Numeracy and Literacy skills in Primary and High School students. Since 2019 he has been working as a TESOL Trainer. Stephen is passionate about engaging and empowering his students and nurturing a love of learning.
