Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, NAPLAN is primarily used as a benchmarking tool, taking a snapshot of how school children across the country are tracking in terms of the literacy and numeracy skills that we believe are essential for their progress. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Gabriela completed her Bachelor of Journalism in 2005 at the Queensland University of Technology and her Graduate Diplomas of Primary Teaching in 2018 at Swinburne University. Gabriela has 2 years' experience as a Primary classroom Teacher, 1 year at a school for children with Autism and 1 year at a private school in year 3 Mathematics. She also has experience as a private Tutor for students preparing for their first year of school and teaching Portuguese language. She has been working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) Tutor since 2019. Jennifer believes her years teaching English as a Second Language has given her the ability to break down literacy and numeracy tasks into clear and manageable sections. She works hard to build positive and productive relationships with her students, so they feel safe and motivated to try their best.
