Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Helen is a qualified, accredited Teacher, holding her Bachelor of Education (Primary). She has been teaching for the past 20 years in both Primary and Secondary schools. She started teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) before moving into Special Education, working with a variety of students with special needs. Helen is patient and nurtures her students to learn with confidence and to assist them in realising their goals for the future, as well as helping them reach their full potential academically.

Kent is currently studying his Bachelor of Education (Secondary), majoring in English, at the University of Newcastle. Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Tien Long completed his Diploma of Engineering in 2019 and following he commenced his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in Software Engineering both at the University of Sydney. He has 2 years' experience as a Private Tutor in Computer Science and Mathematics. He has provided 1 on 1 and online tutoring to students from Year 5 to Undergraduate studies. Tien Long's strengths lie in being able to help his students to understand concepts in detail, along with a balanced student-teacher relationship to help students to realise their full potential.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
- Work through any challenges
